Juice Oranges
The orange is one of the world’s most popular and beneficial fruits. It has a high vitamin C content. Its flavour, especially that of some varieties, is really magnificent due to sweetness and sourness. Uruguay’s climate and soils are suited to grow oranges of excellent quality that are sold in the best world markets.

VARIETIES

  • Salustiana:
    The fruit varies in colour from orange-yellow to deep orange; the peel is slightly rough, medium-thick. It has very few seeds, and it is ideal for juicing due to the high juice content of its flesh. It is harvested from week 22 to week 29.

  • Valencia Delta Seedles:
    The fruit is medium in size. The peel is thin and firm, and the flesh is a beautiful colour. It has very few seeds. It is the variety of juice oranges that takes more time for ripening, and it is ideal for juicing due to its high juice content. It contains moderate sugar levels and good acid levels. It is seedless. It is harvested from week 30 to week 35.

  • Valencia Midknight:
    The fruit is generally medium in size. The peel is thin and stuck to the segments.  High-quality flesh, with a high percentage of juice, and a very good flavour. It is seedless. Harvest time: from week 26 to week 32.

  • Valencia Late:
    The peel is thin and firm. It has very few seeds, generally two to four. It is the variety of juice oranges that takes more time for ripening. The flesh is a beautiful colour and has a high juice content. Harvest time: from week 30 to week 42..
